New achievements, partnerships and an upcoming quiet period

Hey everyone,

Over the last couple of weeks and past few days, I have had quite a speed-run of achievements that I wanted to share with you, while some of these achievements are mine, others will eventually benefit each and every one of you.

Delta Obscura's new structure, doctrine & policy

As you know Delta Obscura is the research arm of Cyber Mounties, so far Delta Obscura has been a closed and invite-only team, we are still very selective but soon we will open a cyber apprenticeship program for the general public. You will have to meet certain requirements to become eligible for mentorship, it's basically going to be a meritocracy, imagine a place where a 12 year old with a 0day is praised above a 40 year old veteran with tenure and no real world impact. This is also going to be a timed process, so you will have nth number of days until you get your first CVE, there won't be a lot of hand-holding and if you fail, your spot will be given to someone more competent.

With that type of environment, we both know what kind of people Delta Obscura will attract, and what type of people will not get replaced with AI.

CPTS Exam

Recently I passed my CPTS exam by achieving 85/100 points and I have submitted my report but haven't heard that so that's another achievement for me. After that, I will probably go for CBBH, CRTO and Sec+.

Partnerships with CTF events

As of today (Nov 16th, 2025), the Delta Obscura has begun its first partnership with omniCTF, a capture the flag competition based in Romania. OmniCTF is an on-site, Jeopardy-style competition based in ConstanČ›a. We are really glad to work with them in creating CTF challenges based on real-world vulnerabilities and CVEs discovered by our team members.

By the end of 2026, we will partner with more CTF events in other countries because our most recent cybersecurity mission (Delta Knowledge Transfer Program) requires us to work with people across at least 10 countries on creating educational material in form of CTFs.

With that being said, we are an apolitical team, our focus is on cybersecurity and innovation, which means we will work with anyone including but not limited to the following countries:

  1. Israel
  2. United States
  3. United Kingdom
  4. Germany
  5. China

While we are not limited to that list, some countries have a higher priority for us. Israel is currently my top priority for collaboration, not that they need outside help, they are quite self-sufficient, but because we need partnerships with our allies during difficult times.

HackFest event

As some of you already know I volunteered as a CTF challenge designer at HackFest Canada and I also participated in their on-site CTF event in Quebec City, it was a great experience. Met and worked with a lot of great folks. Also earned two t-shirts and a badge. Here is a picture of me:

Cool off period

My team and I will be taking a cool off period during December this year, it's holiday season and I think it's time for a break before returning back to research next year.
